9:00 – 11:00 Tutorial 1:
BExIS 2 for End Users
Introduction to adding, managing and searching datasets
slides
Tutorial 2:
BExIS 2 for Data Managers
How to install and set up an operational BExIS 2 instance?
slides
11:00 – 11:15 Coffee Break
11:15 – 12:30 Hackathon 1:
R Interface
How to retrieve data stored in BExIS 2 from R
Hackathon 2:
Spatially enabled datasets in BExIS 2
Most datasets in BExIS have a spatial dimension, but only a few datasets contain explicit geolocations. The idea is to come up with a solution to add/link georeferencing information to datasets, once they are uploaded to the system
12:30 – 13:30 Lunch
13:30 – 15:30 Hackathon 1 (cont.) Hackathon 2 (cont.)
15:30 – 16:00 Wrap-up
